Here’s what might be happening. GitHub likely detects your current location and compares it with the registered campus location of your university. Since you are currently in Tallinn while your university is in Turin, their automated verification system may flag the application because the locations don’t match. Another possible issue is that the document you uploaded does not clearly prove your current student status. Internship agreements often don’t include information such as the academic year or confirmation that you are still enrolled. You could try the following:
If the automatic verification still fails, you may need to submit a GitHub Education support ticket for manual review. |

Hi everyone,
I've a problem with the configuration of the education account.
I'm attending an university in Turin (Italy) but now I'm in Estonia (Tallinn) for a curricular internship. I'm still a student (I've still exams and the thesis to do). I upload my internship agreement on Github but it does not recognize it as valid to activate my education account. Here I share what it says:
Please complete your GitHub billing information with your full name exactly as it appears in your academic affiliation document. You do not have to add a payment method. You may need to log out and log back in to GitHub before reapplying. If you have only a single legal name, enter it in both the first and last name fields.
The school you selected does not appear to have a campus location in your country. Your school-provided academic affiliation document must indicate virtual learning if you are remote. If you believe that the school you have applied for has incorrect information that affects your current application e.g. incorrect email domain, please select ‘My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location’ option when submitting a GitHub Education support ticket.
Your document does not appear to include a date demonstrating current academic affiliation. For countries utilizing non-standard calendars, you may need to capture the original document beside one with a converted date. You may include multiple documents in your image, so long as they are legible.
You appear not to be near any campus location for the school you have selected. Your academic affiliation documentation must indicate virtual learning if you are remote. You must configure your browser and operating system to allow location access. You may not use a VPN. If you believe that our information about your school is incomplete or incorrect e.g. missing campus location(s), then please select ‘My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location’ option when submitting a GitHub Education support ticket.
You are unlikely to be verified until you have completed your GitHub user profile with your full name exactly as it appears in your academic affiliation document. Please do not use a variation of your name or a nickname. Once you have updated your profile information log out and log back into GitHub before re-applying.
Can anyone help me?
