The focus on using LLMs for performance and debugging workflows stands out, especially shifting away from step-heavy debugging toward higher level analysis. The behavioral evals and test logging work also feel like high-impact areas for both developer experience and reliability. The long-context dataset direction is particularly interesting, moving toward realistic, multi-repo problems seems like the right step for evaluating true agent capability.

I’ll dig into the individual issues and try to contribute where I can. Looking forward to learning and being involved here.

I'm interested in this project. I've been contributing to the test infrastructure already, e.g. #20439 (merged by @scidomino) fixed hook propagation in the retry path, and #22037 added missing temp directory cleanup in test afterEach hook. Would love to work on this!

I'm Shivaji Gandham, and I'm very interested in participating in GSoC 2026, specifically for the Behavioral Evals, Quality, and
the OSS Community project.

To get familiar with the codebase, I've just submitted my first PR: fix(cli): prevent Ctrl+D exit when input buffer is not empty
(#23431) (#23431). This fix ensures that the CLI doesn't exit prematurely when a
user has unsaved prompt text, improving the overall quality and UX.

I've also started drafting a proposal to enhance the evals framework with a Multi-Run Statistical Scoring system and automated
regression analysis. I'm looking forward to any feedback on my PR and the project direction!

I’ve gone through the "Optimize Test Suite Output Logging" issue and the related code and I understand that the main problem is excessive stdout/stderr noise during successful test runs—primarily due to unmocked console methods and debugLogger usage across different workspaces.

I’m planning to apply for GSoC 2026 with this project and start exploring the test suite further and contribute initial improvements soon. Looking forward to your guidance.
